NOTES:

Babe Ruth's most famous endorsement was with Redtop Beer, which he promoted during his time with the New York Yankees. Ruth's contract with the Yankees in 1922, included an addendum addressing Babe Ruth's off-field behavior, particularly his alcohol consumption and late-night activities. His endorsement of Redtop Beer was a significant part of his public image, making him the ideal pitchman.

In 1957 Redtop issued a "Hall Of Fame" beer sign which showcases the Babe in a full batting pose. The sign measures about 11 by 16 inches and the statue almost 8 inches tall is often sold on ebay by itself. These Signs were distributed to Bars by Redtop beer to hang in their establishment.

The back plate, at the top reads “Red Top Hall of Fame Sports Series Number One” - followed by a "George Herman "Babe" Ruth" career biography - "Redtop Brewing Co. Cincinnati Ohio, The Embosograph Corp. Of Illinois, Chicago, Illinois, Patent Pending - Copyright 1957" An Embosograph is a type of sign or display that features embossed (raised) images and text, often used in advertising or for decorative purposes. These signs are typically made of cardboard or another rigid material and may incorporate a metallic design for added visual appeal.

The very bottom reads: "This display remains the permanent property of the Red Top Brewing Company and is intended for use only as installed by a Redtop Representative.
 ( Code No. 222R)"
